  1. My name is Duncan Barber. I am a UK citizen and my wife is Korean.

We have all the documents we need for the visa but I am worried about the financial requirement.

My earnings in Korea for the last 12 months are enough to meet the financial requirement. I returned to the UK in February and I now have a job starting tomorrow. The job is for maternity cover. It meets the financial requirement. However, it is only until November.

I would like to have a consultation to make sure that I will be able to meet the financial requirement through a fixed term contract. My understanding is that with my earnings from Korea and a job offer starting within 3 months of my arrival in the UK we can start the application process but I am not sure if a fixed term contract counts, so I would like to speak to an expert.

    Thank you,

    Duncan Barber

  2. My boyfriend is albanian, he lives in the UK and entered the UK illegally, he has been here for 4 years. I am a UK citizen and we have been together for nearly 18 months and we also live together. Between the 2 of us we make approx. 60,000 a year.
We are very devoted to eachother and one day we will marry but would prefer to wait to marry for another year or 2. We want to look into the option for a Spouse Visa.

  3. I want to apply for a spousal visa for my partner who is currently living in SA. I am working and have been for 3 months earning £23,000 but I want to change my job. Will this affect my application as I will have wage slips from different employers?

  4. We are stuck on the housing issue, I have not lived in the UK for over seven years and have no way of finding accommodation there. Our plan would be to stay in a hotel until we can rent somewhere and then we intend to buy a home. Please advise.
